Travel to Israel is also important to Jews and to the Israeli economy. The congregation is a supporter of the Gift Of Israel Program, a partnership program between families, our congregation, and the Jewish Community Federation to support teen travel to Israel.
Once the child is enrolled, each of the partners sets aside a minimum amount of money into a savings account for a specified number of years. When the child is ready to take a teen trip to Israel, he/she has an account that can help fund the trip. It is open to all Beth Israel-Judea children in grades 3 and 7, as long as they are enrolled in a program of Jewish study.
