Learning isn't just for kids at Congregation Beth Israel-Judea. A wide range of regular and one-off programs provide plenty of opportunities for adults to learn more about Judaism and our Jewish culture and tradition.
A weekly Torah study group has met each Shabbat at 9:00AM before services, moving through the annual cycle of reading. No Hebrew is required and coffee and bagels are provided to keep the blood sugar up. A free-wheeling discussion is always found here.
Topics of a recent series of lectures/demonstration include Why the Jews Rejected Jesus; the Dead Sea Scrolls in Context; Dancing with the Stars (folk dancing instruction).
