Please join our dynamic and exciting First Friday Family Shabbat service, lead by Rabbi Rosalind and song leader Ira Scott Levin. In addition, there will be the Award Ceremony of the Rabbi Morris Scholarship for Coleman Rosenberg
Coleman Rosenberg is a George Washington High School senior and one of four captains of the George Washington High School Eagles wrestling team. He won all-city honors at the San Francisco CIF AAA meet on February 23, 2008.
In addition to his all-city honors, Coleman was named outstanding heavyweight. He was undefeated during the regular season.
Coleman represents the fourth generation of his family to worship at Beth Israel-Judea or its predecessor Beth Israel. He has been admitted to the California Maritime Academy for the 2008-09 academic year.
He was delighted to be notifed that he is the 2008 recipient of the Rabbi Morris Scholarship.
